Daniel Denton, Partner and Personal Injury Lawyer at Hodge Jones & Allen and the University of Hull are to collaborate in providing free legal clinic offering Personal Injury advice to members of the public.

The Clinic provides free legal advice and assistance to members of the public who are otherwise unable to access justice, whilst giving students development opportunities. Clients can receive free advice via Zoom, Teams, telephone or to speak directly to the Clinic.

Clinic’s telephone: 01482 466655
Email: lac@hull.ac.uk

Daniel Denton will work with supervising solicitors from the Clinic to lead and support University of Hull students in gaining experience in the personal injury specialism. The students choose to participate in the Clinic as part of their studies or qualification route.

The University of Hull Law School has taught Law since 1927. It has state-of-the-art on-campus courtrooms to bring law to life for students and has considerable research expertise in restorative justice, civil law, and international and public law – with a focus on social justice and criminal justice.

Laura Milner, Director of Legal Advice Centre at the University of Hull, commented on the collaboration: “The University of Hull is delighted to be working with Hodge Jones and Allen to help meet the needs of clients who have sustained an injury following an accident through our new online Personal Injury Clinic. This will help our Law students develop a deeper understanding of conducting a personal injury claim and build on their theoretical understanding of the law of negligence.”

Daniel Denton at Hodge Jones & Allen has represented personal injury claimants for over 20 years and has built a wealth of experience in handling cases including where clients have suffered injuries from a road traffic crash, an accident at work, or in a public place. Sometimes the injuries sustained by Daniel’s clients have proved to be life-changing and so, along with gaining compensation Daniel also works to arrange effective rehabilitation treatments and care to get people’s lives back on track.

Daniel commented: “We are looking forward to working with the University of Hull to raise awareness of the importance of personal injury claims and their accessibility. It will be great to work with Laura Milner, the wider University of Hull team, and the dedicated law students to expand their knowledge on personal injury claims.”
