Hodge Jones & Allen promotes crime and clinical negligence lawyers to partnership
London law firm Hodge Jones & Allen has promoted two lawyers to its partnership.
Emma Wray from the firm’s medical negligence team and Kerry Spence from the crime team joined the partnership this month.
The promotions bring the number of partners at the firm to 41 and follows the appointments of Jeetesh Patel, a family partner who joined from Rollingsons Solicitors in March and James Bell, Slater & Gordon’s former London head of clinical negligence who joined the firm last week (read here).
Emma Wray, a former nursing sister in coronary care, has been practicing clinical negligence law since 2009 and acts in a wide range of cases from high value complex cases, including child brain injury and spinal injury, to cases of more modest value that are often equally complex.
Kerry Spence has over 25 years’ experience dealing with all aspects of criminal defence work, from attending police stations, advocacy in the Magistrate’s Court and preparation of summary and Crown Court trials. More recently she has specialised in more serious and complex cases including multi-defendant cases, such as conspiracies to murder, to defraud, to money launder, to commit armed robberies and to rob.
The firm has also promoted Leo Martin (Crime), Siddiq Fazaluddin (Housing), Deborah Johnson (Family) from associate to senior associate and Cormac McDonough (Civil Liberties), Abbie Roberts (Clinical Negligence), Meera Shinh (Family) and Edward Veale (Housing) from solicitor to associate.
