Hodge Jones & Allen strengthens Industrial Disease team with hire of Andrew James from Slater & Gordon
Leading London law firm Hodge Jones & Allen has strengthened its industrial disease team with the appointment of Senior Associate Andrew James.
Andrew brings with him over 30 years of experience in personal injury, with 25 of those focussing onasbestos and mesothelioma compensation and asbestos disease cases. He joins Hodge Jones & Allen following a highly successful four years as an industrial disease specialist at Slater & Gordon. Prior to this, Andrew spent time with Thompsons, Rowley Ashworth and Fentons.
He has acted on behalf of a diverse portfolio of clients, from asbestos charities in both the UK and Australia to families suffering from asbestos-linked bereavement. He has successfully litigated on behalf of claimants and families, including pursuing the landmark Jolley v LB Sutton case at the House of Lords, and has secured compensation of over £1m for his clients.
Alongside his client work, Andrew is an APIL accredited specialist in occupational and asbestos disease. He also regularly attends and contributes to the Asbestos Sub-Committee of the All Party Parliamentary Group at the House of Commons.
