HJA Solicitor Writing and Publishing for Charity
Ash Menon, a solicitor in the medical negligence team, became an author in 2020 by self-publishing two children’s books. Her aim was to write books that children would love and to raise money for the YoungMinds Charity, via Work For Good.
Ash’s latest book, ‘Mighty Mila Will Roar’ is available to purchase now and, this time, all proceeds of sale are being donated to Refuge via Work For Good.
Mighty Mila Will Roar was written with the aim of helping children recognise the power of speaking up, standing up for themselves and for others.
Speaking about her new book, Ash said: “Mighty Mila will Roar encourages children to speak up and use their voice to seek out support for themselves and on behalf of others.”
Refuge run a range of specialist services to help survivors access safety and rebuild their lives. Refuge also supports victims of human trafficking and modern slavery across its national services.
Commenting on the significance of this charity, Ash said “During the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown, domestic violence has been even more prevalent and more difficult to leave. It’s extremely important that people in domestically abusive situations know that they are not alone and that there is support and helpline services available to them”.
More information on their work can be found on their website.
Ash Menon’s books are available to purchase on Amazon.
At work Ash deals with a variety of clinical negligence claims, representing individuals who have often experienced very difficult and often traumatic times as a result of medical negligence.
