Head of HJA’s Youth Team, Caroline Liggins Announced As Co-author For Blackstone’s Magistrates’ Court Handbook
The Head of HJA’s Youth Team, Caroline Liggins has been announced as the co-author for Blackstone’s Magistrates’ Court Handbook, published by Oxford University Press. Caroline will be co-writing the 10th edition of this important guide with solicitor, Bartholomew Dalton.
This is a bestselling complete guide to the Magistrate’s Court and is cross referenced throughout to Blackstone’s Criminal Practice publication.
Caroline will be working with Bartholomew and the team at Oxford University Press to provide the very latest information, taking account of key developments for the Police, the Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and the Judicial Review and Court Act 2022.
Caroline commented: “I was delighted to be asked to contribute to this important and highly valued regular publication. I am expecting it to be a challenge, but one I will relish particularly working with Bartholomew.”
Caroline is a partner in Hodge Jones & Allen’s Criminal Defence Team and first qualified as a barrister, before qualifying as a solicitor. She has many years’ experience of the Criminal Justice system and now defends young people on a daily basis from Youth to Crown Courts through to the Court of Appeal. She is a highly dedicated advocate for people’s rights and will challenge injustice whenever she sees it.
