APIL specialist recognition for two HJA partners in our Asbestos Team
Lorna Webster (London office) and Joanne Candlish (Liverpool office) have both recently achieved independent specialist accreditation from the Association of Personal Injury Layers (APIL).
Their asbestos knowledge was rigorously assessed by independent reviewers and both were assessed successfully to become APIL Occupational and Asbestos Disease Specialists. Both Lorna and Joanne are already APIL accredited Senior Litigators and are delighted to have their competence and knowledge in the specialist field of occupational disease recognised.
The head of Hodge Jones & Allen’s asbestos team is Isobel Lovett, who is an APIL Fellow, and another accredited APIL Occupational and Disease Specialist. Commenting on their successful accreditation, Isobel said “I am delighted that the first class skills, knowledge and expertise of both my partners has once again been recognised. Our team continue to take on complex asbestos claims and settle them for our ever growing client list and their families.”
The APIL accreditation scheme has been running since 1999. To be accredited solicitors must satisfy specific and extensive criteria providing evidence of their competency and experience of successful handling asbestos disease claims.
The HJA Asbestos team is also ranked in Chambers & Partners UK 2022, an independent legal directory. The team are all described as “impressive and creative lawyers….”
