My first few weeks at HJA
I started working at Hodge Jones & Allen on 1st August 2016 and I am thoroughly enjoying working at the firm. Fighting for what’s right is the underlying ethos of the firm and I am delighted to be part of a team that has spent approaching 40 years fighting for people injured as a result of other’s negligence.
I am gradually building my work and personal routines – juggling the everyday demands of work and family life and getting used to my daily journeys into North Gower Street!
My current caseload
Since joining I have built a varied case load and represent a number of clients who have sustained injuries ranging from broken bones, amputations, fractured spines, brain injuries, psychological injuries and chronic pain.
The legal market
The legal market is changing. As a result of a change in the way legal costs may be recovered from the party who caused the accident, together with changes to the Court fees meaning fees up to £10,000 are now payable, many personal injury departments and law firms are going into administration and/or closing down. This consequence will be even more evident if the government carry on with their proposals to introduce further fixed costs for more complex claims.
Making a claim for compensation
Making a compensation claim when you have been involved in an accident and sustained life changing injuries is not an easy task. It is therefore important that you chose the right firm and solicitor to represent you. Many law firms will offer the Earth in an effort to secure new clients, however with the backing of a good firm behind me, I will utilise my many years of experience so that I can discuss your needs and requirements with you and not only will I act in your best interests and ensure essential rehabilitation but I will also progress the case professionally and efficiently to help you recover the maximum compensation possible.
I also feel it is also important you choose a solicitor who you feel comfortable with, are able to trust and will be there through to the conclusion of your claim to provide support through what inevitably is a difficult time.
I feel very proud to be working at Hodge Jones & Allen and being part of a personal injury team which has only recently been shortlisted for the 2016 Eclipse Personal Injury Team of the Year award. The team is knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. Not only is the firm a great place to work, it has the experience, ability and wherewithal to assist clients to recover damages and maximise their compensation.
I am looking forward to supporting my new clients and continuing to making a difference whenever I can.
