Camden kids charity set to host fifth annual football tournament
Camden law firm Hodge Jones & Allen (HJA) is seeking support from the local community as it takes on 19 other teams in a charity football tournament.
Now in its fifth year, barristers, lawyers and community organisations will don their football boots on Saturday, 24th September 2016 to be crowned the Just for Kids Law Charity Football Tournament 2016 winners.
Each team has contributed £250 to participate, with the proceeds going to Just for Kids Law, which provides support, advice and legal representation for young people in difficulty. The charity was co-founded by Hodge Jones & Allen solicitor Aika Stephenson, a former youth offending team officer who now specialises in representing young people in criminal proceedings.
The tournament will be played at the Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre, 60 Chiswick Common Road, Chiswick,W4 1RZ between 12.30pm and 4.30pm and supporters are very welcome to come along. It is free to attend.
Denise Kitchener, marketing director at Hodge Jones & Allen, says: “We put aside our professional rivalry for one day and give 110% to the tournament. It’s a fun afternoon but also raises awareness of Just for Kids Law, generating much-needed funds to help some of the most vulnerable young people who find themselves caught up in the justice system.”
Solicitor Reza Pashazadeh will captain the Hodge Jones & Allen team, which he has organised for the past five years.
The other teams taking part come from: Just for Kids Law, GT Stewart, Garden Court Chambers, Bindmans, Monckton, Osbornes, MK Law, 25 Bedford Row Chambers, Freshfields, Farringdon Chambers, PAYE 1, Kingsley Napley, London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association, Wilsons LLP, Carmelite, Permira, Horton and Garton, Lamb Building Chambers and 187 Fleet Street.
